NDRA Tire Rule

Effective immediately: NDRA Late Model tire rule for the American Racer tire has been updated. All spec JSR stamped 48 and 56 tires are legal to compete. This means the “rain tread” spec 48 and 56 are legal as of this announcement.

NDRA Readies For NOS Circle K Showdown At CMS May 24th

The stars of the National Dirt Racing Association Road Show Presented by Heintz Performance are ready for one of the marquee events of 2013 on May 24th at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

As part of the NOS Circle K Outlaw Showdown along with the World of Outlaw Sprint Cars, NDRA competitors have the chance to race in front of the largest dirt track crowds in the country.

“Charlotte Motor Speedway is excited to have the NDRA Crate Late Model Series compete during the Circle K NOS Energy May Showdown Event at The Dirt Track,” said Matt Greci, Senior Manager of Events at CMS. “It will be an action packed night with Sprint Cars, Late Models and car stunts,” added Greci. Ryan Atkins Marches To $3,000 NDRA Road Show Win At Carolina Speedway

Ryan Atkins picked up the biggest win of his young career Saturday night at Carolina Speedway as the Mt. Airy, NC racer rolled to the $3,000 NDRA Road Show victory as part of the 13th Annual Skyler Trull Memorial.

Atkins and fast qualifier Brett Hamm brought the 24 car field to the green with Atkins getting the jump from the inside to take the point. Concord, NC’s Matt Long quickly flexed his muscle and made it three wide as he split Hamm and Steve Banal to drive into second in the opening laps.

After the field settled through a couple caution periods, they hunkered down and began to battle. Long began to apply pressure to the young Atkins throughout the mid stages of the event. Atkins was able to maneuver lapped traffic and keep Long at bay throughout the 30 laps to post the win.

Hamm took home $500 from FK Rod Ends for setting fast time over the 27 car field.

I-77 Speedway Partners With NDRA For 2013
 

The National Dirt Racing Association (NDRA) is very pleased to announce that I-77 Speedway will continue their partnership with NDRA for 2013.

I-77 Speedway has been an integral part of NDRA for some years now and we are honored that they have chosen to move into the future with us, said NDRA Larry Lee. Their car count is second to none and we look for big things from them this coming season.
